Description and Growing Information

CultivationDoes best in a free-draining, neutral or slightly alkaline, fertile soil in full sun. The bulbs should be planted in late summer or autumn, and only about 5 cm deep.

Leaf DescriptionLance-like leaves, up to 3.5 cm wide and 20 cm long, channelled, glossy green above and bluish-green below.
Flower DescriptionThe stem carries up to seven flowers, each in a leaf axil; these have yellow falls, 2.5 cm wide, and very short creamy white standards. The falls have a deeper yellow crest, and sometimes brownish markings as well.
