Asclepias syriaca (Common Milkweed)

Michael's Opinion

I use to detest this plant being raised on a farm as we considered it a noxious weed and it fact is was labeled so by provincial legislation. However it is an attractive perennial, with a tenacious root system, beautiful scented flowers and of course critical in the life cycle of the Monarch butterfly.
