Leaf Description | Alternate, simple, smooth and glabrous, 4 ⨉ 7 cm, ovate to rhombus-shaped, wedge-shaped base, acute apex, margin crenate and lobed, venation palmate and reticulate. |
Flower Description | Showy, terminal and axillary, 9 cm in diameter, 5 cm long, single rotate with a whorl of 5 blue-purple exterior petals with mauve venation and about 26 overlapping petaloids of the same colour in several interior whorls, margins undulate, white stamen. There are about 6 - 8 per lateral branch. Blooms last about one day on the plant. |
