HabitatValleys in mixed forests at an altitude of 1,500-1,800 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionDark purple bark with rough dark purple branchlets.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionConical with triangular scales.
Leaf DescriptionDark green, ovate and 3 ovate lobes, 14-18 x 12-15 cm.
Fruit DescriptionFruiting pedicel 7-15 mm, produced in September. Convex nutlets with spreading wings, 6-1.2 cm.
