General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened and is considered endangered in China.
HabitatMountainous forests at an altitude of 1,800-2,400 m.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic to ovate-elliptic, 14-18 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a cuneate base, 7-14 x 3.5-5 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn 1.8 x 2 cm.
