General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatWet forests and swamp valleys at an altitude of 0-300 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionScaly, brown in colour with thick, grey twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid and light brown in colour.
Leaf DescriptionOboval with an obtuse apex and an attenuate pointed base, glossy dark green with a greyish underside, 2-3 lobes and 3-5 secondary veins on either side of the mid-vein, 8-12 x 5-8 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, oblong and dark brown, 1.2-1.6 cm in length.
