General Description | Well known from beautiful autumn colour (from leaves and flowers) in cooler northern climates. In cooler southern climates it will bloom in early spring. |
Landscape | Good as hedges, screening, or woodland edging. Will also grow well in pots or containers with regular watering. |
Propagation | Hardwood cuttings planted with rooting hormone. Will begin to root within 2 or 3 months. |
Cultivation | Prefers moist, well drained, acidic soils. Grows best in partial shade or filtered sun. Does not tolerate alkaline soils or standing water. |
