Cryptomeria japonica
'Rasen'
Rasen Japanese Cedar
"
More a curiosity and a collectors plant than a benchmark or staple plant in the garden. This cultivar has surprised me with its hardiness in the past years and I have seen no winter burn on it as I would have suspected. Its growth is quire contorted and thus the result is a rather odd and unkempt looking specimen.
