Leaf DescriptionReduced to a spine or often without spines, if present the spines are 12 mm or less, with many spines per areole, areoles resembling reddish-brown hairy tufts, areoles 3.5-5 cm apart.
Flower DescriptionFlowers: inner tepals yellow throughout, aging apricot to orange, obovate-apiculate, 25-38 mm; filaments whitish; anthers yellow; style green; stigma lobes dark green.
Fruit DescriptionFruits red with green flesh, obovate, 20-35 mm long and 15-23 mm wide, fleshy, short pubescent, spineless; umbilicus 5-7 mm deep; areoles 36-52.
