General DescriptionThe leaves of the plant are green until autumn when they turn gold or yellow before falling from the plant.
ShapeA fairly tall upright shrub, with multiple stemmed branching. It has a vase-like shape reaching 3 - 4.5 m.
LandscapeMost often used in borders of gardens amongst other shrubs since out of bloom it has little aesthetic value. Also suited to woodland and natural landscape use.
PestsWitch Hazel is usually immune to pests and diseases, but is prone to the Japanese beetle which consumes the plant’s foliage. The plant is resistant to deer.
