Viburnum lantana (Wayfarring Tree)
Michael's Opinion
A plant suited as filler in the landscape since it is quite resiliant and hardy but in flower not that attractive. The berry set can be intersting with red fruit clusters turning jet black and persisting late into the season. The plant needs ample room and seems to be able to tolerate Viburnum Leaf Beetle infestations quite well. V. lantanta because of its resiliance is often used as the understock for more desirable forms of V. species.
