Small upright deciduous shrub mostly used in borders, city and courtyard gardens and informal gardens. This shrub provides a great size coverage and great colours when fully flowered, this is a low maintenance shrub.

General DescriptionWeigela praecox is an easily grown flower which usually grows in well drained soils in full sun with medium moisture.
ID CharacteristicMedium upright rounded shrub with ovate pointed, medium green leaves and rose pink flowers with a yellow throat.

LandscapeCommonly grown for borders or city gardens.
PropagationSoftwood cutting in early summer, semi softwood cuttings in mid-summer and hardwood cuttings in late autumn and winter. Seeds can be put in a container in coldframe around autumn but are not likely to grow to full form.
