Description and Growing Information

LandscapePlant as a pollinator. At my 'Alma Mater' the University of Sussex, O. vulgare came first in a trial of 32 ornamental plants in the Laboratory of Apiculture and Social Insects, attracting more solitary bees than any other plant tested.
HabitatDry grasslands and open scrub usually in limestone or chalky soils.
