General DescriptionRobust herbaceous perennial.
ID CharacteristicOblong ovate leaves and erect light green stems topped with purple flowers.

Leaf DescriptionElliptic to elliptic-oblanceolate, a rounded apex and 11-15 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 7-18 x 4-8 cm. Leaves are grouped together to form a rosette.
Flower DescriptionPurplish-pink with a red or purple eye.
