Description and Growing Information
| Cultivation | Plants will grow in thin, stony, lime soils in crevices in full sun but the soils must be well-drained and of moderate fertility; excess nutrition will cause excessive growth and 'lanky' plants. Plants may be sold as a biennial in milder climates and require a cold period to set growth (verbalization), however, today most cultivars will flower in the year they are sown. |
