Acer x freemanii (Freeman Maple)

Michael's Opinion

A hybrid cross between A. saccharinum and A. rubrum both native to North America. The hybrid combines the fast growth of the former often with the autumn colour characteristics of the later, many selections or cultivars have resulted. Preferable over the somewhat libellous A. saccharinum but not A. rubrum.
