Description and Growing Information
Cultivation | Store and lift tubers before first hard frost and replant in the spring after the ground has warmed and all danger of frost has passed. Alternately, start indoors in large pots and plant in the garden using extreme caution in disrupting the new root growth. Store tubers in winter by lifting, leaving soil around the plant and pack in open bulb crates with dry to very slightly moist peat moss in a dry cool, dark location such as a root cellar. Check for rot of tubers over the winter an re-moisten peat moss as required keeping the media on the dry side. |
