Description and Growing Information

General DescriptionHydrangea arborescens 'Annabelle' is a small, bushy deciduous shrub with broadly oval, serrated leaves and large spherical clusters of white sterile flowers.
CultivationGrow in full sun to part shade, in moderately moist, well-drained soil. Prune close to the ground in late winter to encourage new growth and flowering the following season. Flowers emerge on new wood.
PestsNo serious pests or diseases of note. This particular cultivar has shown resistance to mildew, bacterial wilt, leaf spot and bud blight.
Leaf DescriptionBroadly oval, dark green, margins serrate, 7.5 - 20 cm long.
