ShapeThe leaves are long, tough and rigid, with very sharp, hard points. They often grow in clusters making travelling through difficult. They sometimes get the nickname shindagger.
LandscapeAgave Lechuguilla is useful for places with heavy soil erosion and can be used as a ground cover, but preferably not near entrance ways due to its sharp and hard leaves.
CultivationAgave lechuguilla grows well in well drained soil with full exposure to the sun and is drought resistant.
