Description and Growing Information

General DescriptionA prostrate perennial branching from the base and spreading with foliage and stems densely tomentose. The plant might be highly variable from location to location and confusion may exist from species to species as well.

HabitatFound on sandy plains and stable sand areas and low rock areas.
Leaf DescriptionThe grey-green, opposite leaves are composed of 1 -16 oblong, leaflets with an acute apex. The leaflets range in size from 2 - 4 mm x 4 - 8 mm
Flower DescriptionThe five petaled, five sepal, solitary yellow flowers are 1.5 -2 cm across and are held on a 1 cm long stalk originating from the leaf nodes.
Fruit DescriptionThe tomentose fruit is held on the underside of the stems and may be 1 cm broad with five unequal wings and with a shallow tooted edge.
