General DescriptionIlex crenata 'Mariesii' is a very slow-growing, dwarf evergreen shrub of the holly family whose leaves are a beautifully glossy green with serrate margins.

LandscapeUse as a small specimen plant. Not the best holly cultivar to use as a hedge since it grows slowly and has a relatively small size. Makes a good container planting.
