Description and Growing Information

PropagationPropagate by heeled greenwood cuttings in late summer in a humid cold frame, or by softwood cuttings in summer under mist.
CultivationGrow in full sun in a moist, well-drained soil that is neutral. Very tolerant of pruning, however it is best to prune during the summer.
PestsSusceptible to phytophthora root rot (Phytophthora cinnamomi), and other fungi and moulds can be an issue in dense nurseries.
