Description and Growing Information

General DescriptionA critically endangered plant with a thick rootstock, a long spur resembling a beak of a dolphin and bears vibrant deep violet flowers. This species is toxic.
HabitatBase of rocky cliffs and cracks of limestone boulders in full sun.
Leaf DescriptionBasal leaves resemble that of a palm leaf and can grow to 20 cm in length. Smaller leaves surround the stem.
Flower DescriptionDeep violet long-spiked flowers with hairy petals emerge from the top of long, thin stems which shoot up from the base of the plant.
