General DescriptionDiscovered by Charles Darwin, these unique flowers almost look like little orange penguins marching over the rocks they grow on. Pollinated by oil bees.

HabitatSandy mountain slopes and ridge tops at an altitude of 1,600 m.
Flower DescriptionPouch-like blooms about 5 cm tall, with a white band across the open pouch, with burgundy or deep orange markings above and below it.
