Description and Growing Information

Leaf DescriptionStem and branches are made up of cylindrical segments, blueish green in colour. Spines are silvery, golden or pale yellow, densely placed on the branches and spread in all directions, 2-3.8 cm in length.
Flower DescriptionGreenish-yellow in colour, outer petals with a streak of red.
Fruit DescriptionGreen turning light tan at maturity, obvoid-turbinate 1.2-2.5 cm in length with dense spreading spines on the upper portion.
