Description and Growing Information

General DescriptionA bushy, mat-forming shrub with many stems and short lateral branches.
HabitatValleys, flats, plains and gentle slopes in deep soils at an altitude of 1,350-2,400 m.
Leaf DescriptionConical leaves, 1.5 mm in length. Spines are a pale pink colour, 4-7 per areole, straight and roughly 2-2.5 cm long.
Flower Description2-3 cm in diameter with pale yellow flowers and greenish yellow sepaloids, 6-9 mm long.
Fruit DescriptionYellow spineless, fleshy fruit, obovoid and 2-3 cm in length.
