Habitat | Desert hills, ridges and washes at an altitude of 400-925 m. Often found in the Arizona Desert. |
Leaf Description | Intricately branched with moderately dense spines, pale pink to grey in colour and 5-9 per areole, 1.9-2.5 cm in length. |
Flower Description | Large flowers 5 cm in diameter, few petals a pale purple or pink in colour with a yellow stigma. |
Fruit Description | Green with a hue of yellow, fleshy and tuberculate. |
