General DescriptionThis tree has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatSubtropical and warm forests at an altitude of 1,000-2,800 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionBrown or greyish-brown in colour with yellow-brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionOvate-elliptic, oblong or ovate-lancolate, rounded base and 13-14 lateral veins on either side, 5-14 x 2-8 cm.
Flower DescriptionCylindric and narrow female inflorescence, 2.5-10 cm x 5-7 mm.
Fruit DescriptionProduced July through August, ovate or oblong nutlet with wings twice the size of its nutlet.
