General DescriptionThis shrub has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatSandy hills and deserts at an altitude of 500-1,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGreyish-black with dark brown branches.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic, ovate or broadly ovate, glabrous, a broadly cuneate base and 4-6 lateral veins on either side, 1.5-4 x 1-2.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionOblong, erect female inflorescence, 1-2.2 cm x 8-9 mm.
Fruit DescriptionObovate-elliptic nutlet, 3x1.5 mm, with wings 1-2 times as its width, produced July through August.
