General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
Habitatsubtropical forestes on mountain limestone slopes or valleys.
Bark/Stem DescriptionBlackish-grey bark with purplish-brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic, oblong or obovate-oblong, a cordate base, 14-18 lateral veins on either side, 7-11x5-5.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence, 5-11x2.5 cm.
Fruit DescriptionPubescent, broad and ovate nutlet 4x3 mm, produced July through August.
