Description and Growing Information

PestsSusceptible to caterpillars, aphids and coral spot.
HabitatMountain valleys and shaded slopes at an altitude of 900 - 2000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionDark grey to greyish-brown with glabrescent, purplish-brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionVery large (up to 20 cm in length), 24 - 34 lateral veins on either side, finely toothed, prominently veined dark green leaves.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence 45 - 50 x 3 - 4 cm, light green in colour.
Fruit DescriptionOblong, slightly ribbed and glabrous, 3.5 mm nutlet.
