General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatSubtropical forests or thickets at an altitude of 400-2,300 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGrey with dark purplish, thin branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic-lanceolate, oblong-lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, with a cuneate or subrounded base and 16-20 lateral veins on each side, 4-8x1.5-2.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence, 3-6x1-2 cm.
Fruit DescriptionSlightly pubescent, ribbed, ovoid and broad nutlet, 2-3x1.5-2.5 mm, produced July through September.
