General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatForest valleys and thickets on mountain summits and limestone at an altitude of 450-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionBrownish-grey and villous or glabrescent.
Leaf DescriptionOblong, oblong-lanceolate, ovate-lanceolate or ovate-elliptic, with a surrounded-cuneate, surrounded or subcordate base and 12-14 lateral veins on either side, 5-10x2-3.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence, 5-7x1-2.5 cm.
Fruit DescriptionPubescent, ribbed, ovoid and broad nutlet, 3-4x2-3 mm, produced July through September.
