HabitatSubtropical forests at an altitude of 400-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionDark grey with glabrous, brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic, oblong or ovate-lanceolate, with a subcordate base and 12-15 veins on either side of the mid vein, 6-11x3-5 cm.
Flower DescriptionFemale inflorescence, 5-15x2.5-3 cm.
Fruit DescriptionRibbed, broadly ovoid, nutlet, 3-4x2.5-3..5, produced July through September.
