General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
LandscapeOrnamental.
PropagationSeed should be sown in a cold frame as soon as it is ripe, germination is usually in the spring. If seeds are stored, must stratify for 3 months warm then 5 months cold, can take 18 months. Once late enough, prick and place into individual pots in a cold frame. Plant in late spring or early summer into permanent position.
CultivationMoist, well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Can tolerate any soil or Ph conditions.
HabitatDry and stony limestone hills and forests at an altitude of 50-1,700 m.
