General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as least concern.
HabitatForests at an altitude of 600-1,300 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionFissured, dark greyish-brown in colour with purplish-brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionOvate-lanceolate or oblong-lanceolate, thin in texture, with a subcordate, surrounded, or broadly cuneate base and 18-25 lateral veins on either side of the mid vein, 4.5-12x2.5-4.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionErect female inflorescence, 3-6 cm.
Fruit DescriptionLight brown, glabrous and ribbed, ovoid-ellipsoid nutlet, 5-7x2-3 mm, produced July through August.
