General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened, occupying a total area of 490 km.
HabitatClose to streams in forests at an altitude of 300-1,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionSmooth, brown or grey in colour with glabrous, purplish branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionOvate to oblong, thin, with a rounded base and 4-5 lateral veins on either side of the midvein, 4.5-8 x 2-2.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionYellowish-green in colour, 5 petals and sepals.
Fruit DescriptionSamaras, 1.5-1.7 cm, brown convex nutlets, 4 mm in diameter with pale yellow wings, produced September through October.
