General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
HabitatForests at an altitude of 500-2,400 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionRough, greyish-brown or dark brown with thin, glabrous branchlets.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, purplish-green in colour.
Leaf DescriptionOblong-elliptic or elliptic, thin, with an obtuse base, 8-12 lateral veins on either side of the mid vein, 10-14 x 3-6 cm.
Flower DescriptionLight yellow 5 petaled flowers, 5 yellowish green sepals and 8 stamens.
Fruit DescriptionYellowish-brown fruit with flat winged nutlets 1-2 cm x 6-7 mm, produced December through February.
