HabitatEvergreen forests close to sea shores at a low altitude, 0-200 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionRough, brownish-grey with thin, glabrous branchlets.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid and brownish in colour.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic, thick with 5-7 lateral veins on either side of the mid vein and a rounded base, 6-9 x 2-4 cm.
Flower DescriptionYellowish-green 5 petaled flowers with 5 sepals and 8 stamens.
Fruit DescriptionSamaras 2 cm in length, convex winged nutles, 3 cm x 10-12 mm, produced in September.
