HabitatSparse forests at an altitude of 1,000-2,000 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionPurplish grey to brown with purple, thin and glabrous branchlets.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionPurple with imbricate scales.
Leaf DescriptionOblong-lanceolate, gently raised lateral veins in 8-9 pairs and a rounded or broadly cuneate base, 3.5-4.5 x 1.5-2 cm.
Flower DescriptionPurplish in colour.
Fruit DescriptionBrownish-yellow fruit, ellipsoid or ellipsoid-oblong winged nutlets, 1.8 cm x 8 mm, produced from August through September.
