HabitatMontane forests and thickets at an altitude of 2,400-3,400 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionPubescent brown to rust colour twigs.
Leaf Descriptionelliptic to obovate, greyish-green maturing to a dark glossy green colour, a rounded base, 21 x 98 cm.
Flower DescriptionEgg shaped cream fragrant flowers with reddish purple stamens, 12 cm in diameter.
Fruit DescriptionCylindric, pink maturing to a reddish brown, 8 cm, produced August through September.
