General DescriptionKnown in only two locations, this species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
HabitatEvergreen forests at an altitude of approximately 1,600 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGlabrescent yellowish-brown branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionOvate to obovate-elliptic, thick, bright green with a yellowish-grey underside, 9-14 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded and oblique base, 6.5-12 x 2-4.5 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, 5-7 mm x 1-1.7 cm. Ovoid and broad nut, 0.8-1.5 cm.
