HabitatFound at altitudes of 2,000-3,550 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionBlackish in colour with fissures.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, 3-4 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionObovate or elliptic-oblong, toothed, with a cordate or rounded base and 4-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein, 2-6 x 1-3 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn maturing over two year period.
