General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
HabitatFound at altitudes of 800-1,400 m in the state of Nuevo Leon.
Bark/Stem DescriptionFissured and dark in colour.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, 3-4 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionOval lanceolate, 5-7 lobes, 5-8 prominent secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded base, dark green in colour, 6-10 x 2-4 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, ovoid, singular or in pairs, 1.5 cm in length.
