Description and Growing Information

HabitatMesophytic forests in mountains at an altitude of 300-700 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGlabrous and hairless branchlets.
Leaf DescriptionOvate, oblong-elliptic or obovate-elliptic, thin, 7-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a cuneate base, 6-9 x 2-3.5 cm.
Flower DescriptionInfructescense, 1 cm with 1-2 fruit.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn, ellipsoid, 2 x 1.5 cm. Ellipsoid nut, 2-2.5 x 1.5 cm, produced October through November either singular or in pairs.
