HabitatFound at altitudes of 1,700-2,500 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionRough, fissured and blackish in colour with thin, glabrous twigs.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvate, light brown, 2 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionOblong-lanceolate ot oval, greyish-green with a whitish-green underside, 6-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a cordate or rounded base, 2-5 x 1-2 cm.
Fruit DescriptionAcorn with grey hairs, 1 cm in length.
