HabitatMontane forests at an altitude of 2,500-2,900 m.

Leaf DescriptionOvate to elliptical, dark green, 5-8 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded or cordate base, 2-5 x 1-2 cm.
Flower DescriptionMale inflorescence 2-3 cm in length.
Fruit DescriptionOvoid acorn, singular or paired.
