HabitatTropical forests at an altitude of 1,300-2,300 m.
Bark/Stem DescriptionGrey, scaly when young becoming more fissured.
Flower/Leaf Bud DescriptionOvoid, 3 mm in length.
Leaf DescriptionDark green and glabrous, 15-22 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a cuneate base.
Fruit DescriptionOvoid acorn, singular to groups of 3, 1-1.5 cm.
