General DescriptionThis species has been placed on the IUCN Red List as globally threatened.
HabitatDry, infertile soils at an altitude of 1,600-2,400 m.
Leaf DescriptionElliptic or oval-oblong, glossy green with 4-10 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded or cordate base.
Fruit DescriptionOvoid acorn, 1-1.5 cm in length, singular or paired.
