HabitatEvergreen forests in mountainous areas at an altitude of 800-1,500 m.

Leaf DescriptionOblong to oval-elliptic, thick with 15-18 secondary veins on either side of the midvein and a rounded or cuneate base, 12-21 x 5-9 cm.
Fruit DescriptionFlat acorn, 2 x 3-4 cm.
